It is time for all the falcon based Ford Car Clubs in all states to look at adopting a common name through out Australia, our members at our next meeting will be debating a Name change to embrace Ford Performance Vehicles, it will not be easy to settle on a new name, I myself would like to see perhaps the following.


FPV-XR8 & XR6 Owners Club of Victoria.

This brings in the new and still maintains the current image that we have.

It is some what easier for our club as we did not adopt the Tickford Owners Club image, for tickford clubs it will be somewhat harder I would think to review a change.

So food for thought and note your comments, hopefully we can note a reply from each and every XR & Tickford Car Club in Aus and possibly settle on a one of name.

Wouldn't "FPV & XR Owners' Club" be more succinct in your case?

Where would the TOC Club of NSW sit in the scheme of national commonality? The Tickford name has a degree of importance to me as a member of the above club.

you will find the Ford Performance Vehicles must be used rather than FPV in club name.

We No longer have Tickford to support the clubs., we now have FPV

I have to agree with xr6hp here, for the clubs who are currently named

XR Club of..... they should be named FPV - XR6-8 Club of ....

For us NSW since the name is currently Tickford Owners Club of NSW i say it should be named Tickford - FPV Owners Club of NSW or the other way around it doesn't really matter just so long as the Tickford name stays as thats what our club is. Although the Tickford name ceases I don't think it should be dropped.

Just look at HDT in the HSV/HDT club.
