All you car nuts out there, some questions please.

I've been trying to find what nissan GTR stand for, haven't been able to find it. What does it stand for, also what does pontiac GTO, Monaro GTO, Holden GTS, Nissan GTST, and does the porsche GT stand for the same thing as the Falcon GT. Thank You. Peace out.

GT-R and porka GT both means stay away or get owned, I may be wrong but i think GT may mean gran tourer, the extra t in GTS-T means turbo
Or in fact they could be just names that car makers use to make their cars sound racy, with no real meaning.
Thats the extent of my knowledge

GTR = Grand Tourer Racing
GTS-t = Grand Tourer Sports - turbo
Pontiac GTO = Gran Turismo Omoglatto, or Grand Tourer Homoglated
I'm guessing the Monaro GTO stands for the same.
Holden GTS I'm guessing GT Sports again, and I'll bet GT on the Porsche is the same as the falcon.
