This'll make the Holden bashers happy, apparently about half the new V6 Alloytec engines coming down the production line won't start when they get to the end. Some sort of problem with the electronics in them. Not sure exactlly what the problem is an how drastic, but not all that good anyways.
Anybody else heard anything bout it?

honestly thats not good. I want this engine to succeed for many reasons most importantly to show that us aussies can build decent equipment. so i hope they rectify this problem soon.

But having said that I too also want to see the alloytech engine succeed, gives more reason of why Ford shouldnt be happy being the underdog trying to chase the wind with lesser equipment.

I very much doubt they would be missing gudgeon pins, that's what holds the piston to the con-rod.

That's what someone who works for Holden said in another thread, 1000 examples were bad, missing a part he suspected to be a gudgeon pin.
