IF these new speed cameras in use have IR flashes which we carnt actually see,

If you illuminated your plate with IR light, wouldnt it overexpose the film ?

I heard of a story of a guy who bought some of that black out paint. you know so it overexposes the film on the red light cameras. He light went through it 10 times and got caught by his for sale sign too.

I heard of some one in one of the capital cities who crept up behind the speed camera car and stole the number plate, bolted it to his car, and went through the speed camera something like 13 times :) that would be funny

I thought Citylink read from the front - hence why motorbikes use it with impunity?

Brendan I beleive that when the city link sensors dont recieve a signal fron an e tag then it takes a photo of the car for fines etc.. probably of the back of the car by the time it registers.
