am i crazy or not?

i've got a EA wagon, and i got told i was crazy for wantin to moddify a EA wagon..
so far i haven't done much as it looks atm the list is:
Lowered 2" rear and 1.5" front
mags, 16" EL XR8
interiour; s pack interiour, and a bit of 2000 worth of sterio stuff
body its about to get colour coded bars and the "thicker" moulds done in body colour as well.
engine: was CFi (well 1 hr ago neway) and just about to put on a EF intake and mpfi :)
and a 2.5" redback zorst

thinkin of doin:
a AU head and some form of a upgrade in the CAM departement.
then a rebuid ont he bottom end
and then a manual..(atm its a 4 speed auto)
oh and a set of tractors

at the end of the day i can take most of it off... but what do u ppl think of modifying cars????

In the end it is your car, so the only persons opinion you need to worry about is your own, if you want to modify it, go for it, the only person you should aim to please is yourself

I agree with DK..
but
I would only spend that sort of $$ if youREALLY like the car... if you think it's OK but nothing special then I would wait till you get a car you do like and put money into that..otherwise it's p!ssed up against the wall

Stick a BA xr6t engine in it... watch it go! (or at least put a few SS's to shame, anyway)

Can you imagine the price of a BA XR6 Turbo engine?, you would have to wait ages for one, and the demand would be shitloads.
Just keep going the way you are Catman, your vehicle...do what you want to do :s5

its simple really...if you like the car and want to keep it, and are doing the mods to make it more appealing / modern / faster etc for YOU, then go right ahead....i am about to spend about $8k on an escort! it will increase your enjoyment of your car for you.

however, if you have any plans to sell the car in the near future...then dont do a thing. you will lose at least 50% of what you spend on it.

I say go for it!

Just remeber though, the money your spending on it will never come back to you when you go to sell it!

i think that's the main point if you plan on keeping it or transfering the parts to another car then there is nothing wrong with that.. And whatever floats your boat is good as long as your happy with it, it doens't matter what anyone else says
