Angry dissapointed rant/help!

ARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Okay. Feeling slightly better now.
This is probably an age old rant by most people who have a car...
Just had my car washed. (the AU Futura) I should point out that it has been a little while.. maybe a long while since his last wash.

Needless to say I am shocked to see how many people have "bumped" their doors against the paintwork.
- Not to mention the many stone chips I have accrued.
I swear that the ED Falcon has neer copped such a beating! Everyone tells me that this is because the ED is white. The AU is the gun metal grey "meteorite" colour.
I have a thingie of touch-up paint but no idea how to use it to make the chips, key scratches (!!!!!) or door bumps from the white and blue car (yes they kindly left their paint behind!!) go away.

Any tips on how to cover these up affordably?

...on the upside.. the wheels look s**t hot! and from a distance, on the right angle.. the car looks damn fine.

damn people who scratch, key and dent cars.....

Galaxy is another colour that is great for showing any marks at all. Even witht he damage (acid, dont ask) that is down the side of my car i still cringe at every little chip/mark.

Re: Angry dissapointed rant/help!

if you still have their paint on your car then use some Paint Doctor. works a treat. leave the touch up for chips as it never goes on properly and you always can see that its been touched up

Yep, people just don't give a shit. I'm always VERY careful parking next to someone else's car or walking by one. I've finished touching up my car where people have left acouple of scratches and left their colour of car on mine. I always try to keep my car looking good but half the time I think what's the point.

Re: Angry dissapointed rant/help!

I'm a little over zealous when it comes to parking my car in shopping centres. I have to make sure it is not near a trolley bay, or on a downhill slope to ensure that no run-away trolleys are likely to dent my car.

Still.. you can't pick who parks next to you, can you? Me thinks I need to get back the old sigma-saurus to take to the train station!
Shame we sold it for a carton of beer.....

I've started wearing steel-caps to the shops for just this very reason......
Luckily I haven't had to use them yet!

Yep, thats for sure. I cry everytime I wash mine. And people wonder why I have no problems leaving it sit in the garage for weeks on end. Everytime I take it out some tool scratches it again!
