I have a pretty strange problem. MY Mum lives down in the SW of WA (Augusta) and, for whatever reason, they have an ant plague down there and have had for years.
Now. whenever I park my white XR in the gravel driveway for the weekend, I get home and find the damned thing CRAWLING with ants a few days later. They don't seem to go inside, just around the door seals etc etc.
Any ideas how to stop this attraction?
I've left it out in the driveway tonight, hope the heavy dew and rain forecast for later will get rid of the buggers.
Simon....
(Roll on the smart arse answers!)

get a bottle of ANT-RID from woolies or one of those supermarkets...and put a few drops in the door seals where the ants are but not near where someone would touch it and that....coz its poison......that should do the trick
doesnt cost much as well :)
Its not the polish your using is it? I know once I went to wash my car, put the bucket of car wash down, went inside to do something for a couple of mins, came back and the bucket was covered in ants . After finishing washing the car I was covered in ants also, was still finding the bastards on me hours later . Didnt seem too interested in the car though.

Left a drop on the cutting board in the kitchen, went away to eat the sandwich, 1/2 hour later, the board (and kitchen) was crawling in the little buggers.
That Ant Rid stuff isn't bad, its only temporary though. Idea is for the ants to take the poison back to the nest, don't know if that works though.
