Depends upon the genre of gaming that you're into.(Peoples - these are merely my opinions - no need for a flame session based upon my thoughts...)
From a first person shooter class, try "farcry", unreal tournament 2004, or Call of duty. unreal 2 is also quite good(& being a little older you'll prob be able to find it a bit cheaper)
For Driving Sims, Colin McCrae 4 is perhaps the pick at the moment. V8 supercars 2 is pretty much of a letdown at the moment, hampered by rather poor handling models (either too sensitive or not sensitive enuff) & from a "testers" perspective it has any number of bugs in it that appear on some quite high-end spec machines (framing noticably at times, locking up to a blank screen at others)
hehe to run DOOM III ur gunna have to have the LATEST video card
at least 128mb card, the build up to this game has been at least 3 years
i remember playing doom II as a youngster (bout 6 - 10) and it was sick
so i cant wait for DOOM III
and also HALF LIFE II looks awesome but for now im happy to stick with warcraft 3
and counter strike every now and agian and also need for speed underground (gotta love my riced up FOCUS)
Bah played the demo of V8 supercars. Looks cool, thats all. If you want a REAL race sim get Live for Speed, or the new racing sim called GTR by Simbin(?) the demo is out now and the physics/detail are awsome, you need a force feed back wheel and pedals to appreciate both games.
If you into shoot em ups, Battlefield Vietnam is good, better when playing it multiplayer over the net so broadband is advised.
