I have an 01 Taurus that I bought used for my daughter. We now live in South Carolina. We are moving back to California.

Can anyone tell me if this car was equipped from the factory to pass the stringent California SMOG laws!??

In other words when Ford produces a car or truck does it have to be California specific or will they all pass??

I want to take the car instead of selling it...but I don't want to drive all the way to Calif. & find out the car won't pass the smog test...Anyone know this answer?

I think they all will pass Calif. Emissions. My 01 was bought new in Texas and the sticker under the hood states will pass all FED emissions including Calif.
