I won a Sharp GX30 mobile phone last night its that new 1 mega pixel camera phone, it suppose to be fairly high up in the vodafone range and its decked out to specifically access Vodafone live.
Now Im not with vodafone, Im with optus.

IS there anyway I can download games onto this thing from my PC?

I have all the bluetooth software on my PC from my nokia 3650 but the new phone only allows bluetooth for headset operation and nothing else. I guess so people use the vodafone services more. It runs a Multimedia card but wont allow me to access java files that I save to it.

Is this phone better than my 3650? Or should I sell it off and keep my nokia?

Sharp are the phone to have over because they do everything but cook you breakfast.
Well not really but I've heard they are basicly a GX20 at heart with a few upgrades including the camera and such, Not very good bang for your buck i've heard also but from what i've read they seem to be generally good phones, i'd say for for one if you got the $$

So yes, I'd say its better that your nokia, but you can sell it to me if you want! FF discount!

How the hell did you win it? thats a bit of a score.

My company works for vodafone, I deliver pamphlets to stores like woolworths and coles, kmart etc. We had to go to a motivation meeting and it was the door prize.

Is vodafone as big over there as they tell me?

I might sell it. Im not that much of a fan and seeing im not with vodafone it is a bit of a waste when every second menu item puts you through to vodafone live.
I went into a vodafone store today and the asking price for one of these suckers if $899.
Not a bad prize seeing I even got paid to sit there for 2 hours and drink free beer.

Do you really want to buy it? I would rather have another piece of my turbo EB puzzle than have a new fancy fone.

What should i sell it for if I do?

Yea Vodafone is pretty big over here, I am on it but latly all the try hard kids have gone to Telecom because they have a deal where you pay no more than $10 a month for sending test messages (SMS) so as soon as that wears off they will probably go to vodafone for Pxt or something, but telecom is the craze at the moment and im not really one to go for crazes, im sticking to Vodafone as Telecom phones are crap to me and I like the vodafone phones, We only have 2 networks in NZ anyway, Vodafone which is GSM and Telecom which is CDMA.

If it was me i'd keep it but since your not on vodafone, if it was me i'd sell it

I have about 4 mobiles, Vodafone Pre/Paid, Vodafone Plan, Optus GSM and Optus CDMA :) hehe

What a coincidence....a friend of mine just won a GX30 as well!!! It was a lucky door prize...not too bad considering it is worth about $1000.

Had a bit of a look at it...looked pretty flashy, the camera is definately good quality. Other than that I didn't really have much of a look at it...was too busy watching Hawthorn lose at the Footy. :(
