Anyone notice the correction in the Carpoint XR8 review?

When I first read the Carpoint XR8 review I noticed the weight figures that were published were way off. He said that the BA XR8 weighed 260kg more than the AUIII XR8, I sent him an email regarding that figure (only 130kg) and now the review lists the correct weights!

On that note peoples, it suddenly makes the XR8 a decent thing. Comparing it to the AUIII the BA XR8 gains 40kw with a weight increase of 130kg.

On that note of weight i got the VY broshure yesterday (no i'm not going to buy one) to confirm the weight of the SS. I have to say it's damn light at around the 1600kg mark.

wait untill you wack it in to something though. There is a reason the Ford is Australia's safest family sedan and the Commie is Australias least safe out of the 4.

Here!! Here!!

This is the first time I have heard anybody respond positively to the "weight" debarkle
The reasoning behind the extra weight hasnt been mentioned in any article posted anywhere (that I've seen anyway)

Well done carazy

Take a look at the writeoff BA thread. Looks like it stood up pretty well. What concerns you more? Quartermile times or safety? Pretty easy to answer that one...
