My tip on the stroker if it eventuates based on Fords available line of hot up parts:
250kW and ~ 490Nm.
This is assuming Ford doesn't source 3rd party heads and intakes. Which is a shame as Ford doesn't really have the right head or intake to suit a 342 EFI stroker. If they get their best street head - the GT40x and do some good port work you may see this climb to around 270kW or so but I wouldn't count on it. Expect whatever it is to be a torque monster though which is a definte plus considering the porky nature of newer Falcons.
Fingers crossed that they bump up the size of the mass air meter and or modify the airbox assembly as it is a limiting factor even on current 200kW engines.
I'm with TurboDOHC. Ford know that GMH now have 255kw so they will want to go one up without actually blitzing them or putting to much strain on the old Windsor (don't want warranty claims, not good for image plus is expensive). Hopefully when the 5.4? is released in the AV we can see some serious GMH butt kicking then!

You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little note on the windscreen. It said, 'Parking Fine.'So that was nice.
yeah it'll be great to see if a stroker is released or not so soon.. it was amazing that only about 2 years ago the most powerful Ford you could get was the 185kw Xr8 - alas there was always the EL GT which was 200kw?? but hey, stroker or no stroker i'm reckon ford is on track for a great time ahead and sure to blow holden to peices!!
I was talking to a Ford dealer mechanic the other day and he said the stroker is on its way and on top of this a stroker kit is being released and will cost around $2,500, the guy certainly knew his stuff, drives a modded AU XR8 ute and was a real Ford nut :)
I thought Ford and Tickford had confirmed the Stroker upgrade and that it was going to happen in time for the updated T series shown at the SMS.
I am confident Ford will deliver, Man I hope so.:(
Dunno about the power figures but there's been a few right ups about the refreshed T series line up with the stroker. So I cannot see how there would be an about face. And to even solidify the existance of it, the Ford dealer that I was organising my ute through ,after prompting by me on how good this new stroker engine will be, said it should be a good thing.
Russell.
