I just witnessed a channel 10 news story, about police having a list of high powered vehicles registered to p-platers, and i heard Bob Hastings (Our assistant police commissioner) say that we should;

Then, the shot went to a stock standard RED VT Executive with p plates, like, shock horror, a p plater in a standard executive! OMG!
Now, if this is how ridiculously stupid our police force is, even our so called leaders of our police force, i think we have serious problems.
Look out too, any p platers out there, make sure you register the car in your parents name if you are buying, otherwise the police will be on your back about owning a v8, turbo, etc.

Nope, the way the comment was made, was clear that he was seriously considering just banning all v8's and v6's as it would be an easier option to trying to police the hi powered car thing..
Personally, nothing, and i mean nothing they do will settle this, because even if they do try and police it, the people who really want to drive high powered cars, will just register it in someone elses name (parents namely) and be listed as a co-driver on the policy. Then it would go back to having to police it, with the cops having to pull you up for driving a high powered car, so they are going around in circles.

I wish i could afford to take a suit against the state governments. If everyone in FordForums chipped in 100bux towards a nice barrister, we could probly make em sit up and listen.

If Harold Scruby can issue press releases that get taken seriously then so can I and whoever else joins the class suit.
As for those ACA and Today Tonight scum, i would only need to threaten them with legal action which im sure heyd take seriously since im already taking on the govt. My former emplyer did the same and got a formal apology on the show the next day

They should ban V8's and V6's? What the heck??
i use to have a XC with a crappy 302 in it, and it was SLOWER than my EA 3.9! so why should they ban them? There are 4 cylinder machines out there go faster than alot of the 8's and 6's! Good old bob needs a kick in the ass!
