ooooh i hate when people speed up as im trying to overtake!!!

so now if i encounter someone who speeds up in the overtaking areas but drives like a bitch normally i get a 'motherfukka' roll-on (not roll-in lol) before pulling out - on the highway this usually means a downchange to 3rd and hold it flat to redline, punching 4th gear just as i pass them and still into it - f*ck around with me and you get the unsafe overtaking manouver from hell!

It's one of my pet hates when I'm on a long trip. The Pacific Hwy fron Gold Coast to Sydney seems to be full of people who do this.

My attitude is - If some catches me, then they're going faster than I am so I let them pass. if I catch up to someone, I'm going faster so please let me pass.

If everyone followed this simple logic then there would be a lot less road rage.

You guys should try this when towing a 1700kg boat/trailer combo. I often go to the coast from Canberra with my mates. When it comes to overtaking, it is a little difficult to get the car & boat up to speed as quickly as normal, but i still find that I can accelerate quicker than some drivers. They are quite surprised to see this rig 3 ro 4 metrs off their rear bumper and even more surprised when I finally go around them. I reckon about 60% of drivers speed up as I am going passed them - bloody dangerous when the max speed I can hit is 120kmh before the trailer starts doing the waltz! Anyway, I think most of them think i will hold them up when we get to the mountain (Clyde). But one of my mates says "JC doesn't speed down the coast, but he does 100 up hills, down hills and around corners." The joys of a V8!
