Au Dev 4 Is Back!!!

Hi all. I know that people were interested in the dev 4 and its idle.Well today I had a proffessional put it in and it idles better than stock.Because of the rain I have not fanged it yet as when it was working last time traction in the wet was an issue.I am waiting for to to settle. The guy set it up so my power band is streetable.I had a dyno done there as well but cannot compare it to the more common dynos.

However I took it for a little spin this afternoon and when nailing the throttle the response was excellent.Just have to wait for dry conditions to try it.I cant get over the great idle.Joe at crescent motorsport installed it and I must say that he has done really well...will say more after tommorow..

Re: Au Dev 4 Is Back!!!

Freddy ....the car feels slower than stock down low even though it pumped out 141rwkws.I know the cam is good for 150rwks because it did in my last engine. If you want a street cam stick to standard and get a set jmm extractors with 2.5 inch xorst.Or get an xr6 cam to keep low down power. If you want a 1/4 mile cam get a dev 5.If you want the best of both worlds dev 4/5 and you need to get a chip to give fatter down low power for the street. This way you can have your cake and eat it too.

This unit was ticking today I think it need 1 more shim..this should give full lift and better power. Check out the dyno and see what you make of it.

Re: Au Dev 4 Is Back!!!

Well today as things are bedding in the
dev 4 is starting to create very good power down low as well.I may be prematurely underestimating this cam.But at the squeeze of the accelerator it picks up heaps better than yesterday. So ill have to wait a week id say.

Re: Au Dev 4 Is Back!!!

mate disregard my first post.Today the car is quicker than i have ever seen it.That 141 kw dyno figure must be different by now.The car goes like.....a zertec. If the power hasnt increased well that acceleration like the powers of piss must be torque.I press the accelerator and the back of my wagon dips down and launches the car.....the nose goes up..

The funny thing is that I am scared to take my 200kgs of tools out.Its gonna be scary!!!1

Let go...move on...it's over. You've moved on since the tools. You've found something(one) much better. Your friend acceleration is with you now. Everyone before that is history.
