Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone knew when the cops would be sellin their AU cars to get ready for the BA's? I have a few mates interested in lookin at some of the Ex-Chaser XR8's if they are gonna sell em.

In Perth the cops change there cars every 30 000Km - 50 000Km or 6 mounths.

all the auction yards get them, and the AU3 XR8s go for about 30 grand at the moment. thats with 40 000 kms on the clock.

Falkeen i deal very closely with them, I picked up 2 99 AU Fairlanes last week for 20 grand each, they are now being made into Brisbane Silver Taxi's.

omfg $20k for 99 AU, im guessing they were series 1, how many klms and what color / interior / exterior and condition were they in.

Id seriosly be looking at buying one at that price !

Yeah we bought 2 Silver ones as we didnt want to paint, both had under 100 000 kms on them with the VCT motor, and the kays didnt worry us at all as we have the facilities to rebuild when needed. The cars are Series 1's with full leather, premium sound, and mudspats all that type of crap.

All we had to do was buff / polish them up a bit, wack on the badges, put in the taxi gear like the stickers and counters etc and get them registered. Both had brand new tyres, and were EX company cars from what i can tell as they had phone kits in them.

My boss was extreamly happy wiht them at that price and gave me a $250 bonus for the week in cash!!!! IM like ohh YEAHHHHHHHHH.

OH and they boht have Tint, thats anohter added luxury that you dont see in many cabs.

this include the beaded seat covers etc....?

love seeing fairmonts and fairlanes etc as taxis, sh*t condition base model falcons are some of the worst damage that can be done to fords/falcons image - when future car buyers think of a falcon most of em tend to think of the last falcon they rode in....a taxi!
