I found an AU1 Fairmont Ghia V8 for sale for $17k - a bit more than I wanted to spend, and haven't sold my car yet, but it caught my attention. It has bilstein shocks, DBA discs, new pads, 17" AU1 XR rims, rear spoiler (but no body kit), full leather etc. Has 136,000km.
From the pics I've seen, it looks to be in good nick, has service records etc.
Opinions please - ie is it a good price?

Re: AU Fairmont Ghia V8 - $17k is this a good price?
just as Falkeen has pointed out
the Kms are a bit to high but if the car has a good service history & receipts to proove it then the price is OK expecially with the Leather & extras
regards

Thanks for the opinions guys. I reckon it's a fair price too, but as per Falkeen's advice, I will need to sell my car first! So many cars to buy, and only one to sell - why is it so damn hard?

Re: AU Fairmont Ghia V8 - $17k is this a good price?
Its a reasonable price, but if your going to sell your XR6 VCT for $19,900 (for memory from the for sale section with less kms) then whats the point? You know ur VCT's history. For $2,900 you could end up with a car thats been thrashed from day one that your going to have to spend a bit on to fix things up later.
Its a hard call i guess, but it all comes down to personal opinion. Also remember the V8 might cost a bit more to run to...
Re: AU Fairmont Ghia V8 - $17k is this a good price?
consider this: i know a guy that just paid $26000 for a VT SS 5.7.
for $17000 i dont think its too bad a price considering its luxury and a V8. also at the end of last year my 2000 AU1 Forte I6 with 106000km, tint, 17s, lowered, and 6 stacker was sold for $16999 from the dealers yard. so for what your getting i think its pretty reasonable. if im not also wrong a V8 that has been treated well will last you many more hundreds of thousands of kilometers
