Where to loook?

What price should I pay ?

I chose the AU falcon, but thats because if I had one I would do a great deal of mods to it, e.g. wheels/bodykit/sunroof/stereo/tint/engine/exhaust/grille/scoops just to name a few.. but then again, I am a fan of the EL, but I would choose the newer car anyhow.

up to you! both cars would be exciting to own

would totally agree with blackout

i prob wouldnt have gotten the AU if i wasnt going to do anything to it (especially series 1), but i also chose the AU because i had an EF previously and i wasnt getting enough of a change (looks wise) getting an EL so i went for the newer one.

summing up - if your leaving it basically stock go for the EL XR6 for sure!! id try and get one with just under 100,000kms on it or less though - id be guessing between $15-20,000?? for a decent EL XR6

apparently NRMA or FordInsure are good insurance companies for people who wanna do a bit to their cars and are lacking a bit in the age department! im gonna have to find out soon myself so thats who im gonna be checking out.

A late ex Govt AU will probably be the same $$ as a EL XR6 . The AU makes more sense to me .

Get a nice AU fairmont / Futura and whack a c2r kit onto it, will look tough... some low king springs and some shocks.

Will be very nice.

if you go for the au get a really dark pair of glasses so you can't see it as you walk up to it. dosn't matter what you do cosmetically to the au it will NEVER look as good as the el xr.

Go the EL XR6..... But I would say that, wouldnt I !

I personally just couldnt bring myself to buy an AU, but thats just me.

You need to weigh up whats important to you in a car & go from there.
I dont think you could go wrong with an EL XR though.

go the el xr but i would also say that.

the el xr already looks good, handles well has the sports buckets and leather wheel and more power than a stock AU.

its all very well saying you can dress up the AU with body lits and better suspension but that costs more money then.
and it will only ever be a forte!

but choice is yours AUs are a good car.
