Whilst in Blacktown NSW this weekend I saw an AU station wagon with an XR front end on it.

I was quite impressed as it looked right at home on it. It certainly made me wonder why Ford never brought out one.

IMO the only thing that spoiled it was that it sat too high. If the suspension was lowered it would have really set the car off.

Think for a moment, how good would a BA XR8 wagon look, painted in Phantom, with big wheels and lowered..........
I'd order one over the ute no problems!!!
Any photo-shoppers out there like to build me one???

Theres an AUII Wagon with an XR nose getting around Wodonga.
The thing with this one, its painted in Acid Rush, with a set of polished 18s it looks totally awesome.
Its owned by one of the local panel shops.

Was there ever a reason given why Ford didn't build AU XR wagons?

While I'm not really a wagon fan myself, I'm not sure of the logic both Ford/Tickford/FPV and Holden/HSV show in not catering to the HP wagon market.

I would have thought first one to market with such a product would have a bit of a hit on their hands.
