If there is anyone reading this message that is connected to the Banking industry either directly or through a relative, could they please provide some advice on the best account options for a small car club.
From the options so far explored the fees will kill us & there must be other options. Advice from counter staff is limited to say the least.
Any comments recommedations appreciated.

Dont know mate., try a credit union or building society!

Would have to agree with Laminge. Credit Union is the way to go, but I'm biased my Wife works for one (woo hoo cheap loans).

Usually much more options for account types, eg all electronic etc and much lower fees

the reason why i suggested you speak to one of those two ppl is that TOCONSW had a lot of problems opening an account in the club's name.

Getting a club bank account can be a HUGE pain in the bum!!

The NSW ticky club went with Westpac. Some banks wanted us to be incorportated first.

Speak to "Quarter Pounder" on this forum (he is the club treasurer) and he can share some information on the what you need to get a bank account in a club name)
