Aussie Economy

A reflection of the state of economy in Australia:
------------------------------------------------------------

If you bought $1000 worth of Ansett (Bankrupt Australian airline) stock one year ago, it would be worth $49 today.

If you bought $1000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, and traded in the cans for the deposit, you would have $79 today.

Beer - is there anything it can't do?

Hahahaha, now you make me feel better in the sense that i didn't invest my money from last year. Seems anything can go down in the stock market these days.

"As a matter of fact i got it now...." :s6: :s6:

Hmm, this makes sense... so my 2 Ansett tickets that I purchased for the Tickford weekend, will most likely be completely worthless when the time comes, as Ansett will no doubt have a dispute or some such thing. So let's see.. $160 down the toilet for nothing, or I could take the tickets, roll them up and fill them with grass clippings, smoke the aforementioned tickets, and arguably be happier and better off financially!!! :oo1: :s6:
