Aussie spelling thread blocked. Why?

Why was this thread blocked? I re-read the thread a couple of times and couldnít see anything that was overly offensive or degrading.
Or perhaps, more than likely, the moderator has a poor understanding of what the word racism actually means or really stands for.
If threads are to be blocked, or deleted altogether, maybe the Paris Hilton tread or the Neverland thread should be re-visited by the moderators as there are some impressionable young minds that view Ford Forums.
Ya can't have it both ways.

Re: Aussie spelling thread blocked. Why?

Fair comment. I also re-read the postings and believe the original thread starter has a valid comment. It appears it may have degraded somewhat as others added comments. In a way it is not unlike persons typing in SMS style. Maybe i'm getting too old, but i do have a problem reading those. It actually takes me longer than normal sentences.

Re: Aussie spelling thread blocked. Why?

The original post was ok, but I think it was starting to lean a little towards the end. I think the mods just shut it before it really started to go downhill (which it might, or might not have).

But I think your best to PM the closing mod rather than in this thread (I think starting threads about closed threads is against forum policy).

Re: Aussie spelling thread blocked. Why?

If you have a question or issue with a particular thread being closed, please send the mod a PM and sort it out that way. Starting new threads is not a good idea and really doesn't serve any purpose other than to create unnecessary friction.

Thread closed.
