I've been to the Australian International Airshow 2003 on both Friday & today and I still can't get the smerk off my face.

If you're into fast *anything*, you're gonna have an absolute ball.

Tomorrow (Sunday) is the last day and it runs from 10am-4pm.

Keep an eye out for the F-111 fuel dump, the F-15 Eagle and the F-18 Super Hornet. You just won't believe how loud and fast these bad boys are :)

I missed it, but my workmates said they got a B1 Bomber to do a fly-bye at work it cruised along the runway and then put it into a step climb with the old afterburners going. They said the noise made your insides shake!!!
I had a bad experience at the last airshow so decided not to go this time around! (Self inflicted injury, off work with severe sunburn)

You should really do yourself a favour & go - it's undoubtedly the best $35 I have ever spent.

I have an airshow every day! Ok maybe not the fast stuff but still exciting especially watching a "heavy" depart with 13.5 hours of fuel on board!

It wasn't sunny, that is the scary bit!!! I still got burnt!!:sad:

I was all organised to go to the trade day on Thurs with a better than even chance of scamming into the Bombardier Chalet but a bastard courier who was supposed to deliver some stuff at 9-10am didn't turn up until nearly 1pm hence wrecking my schedule.

I didn't think it was worth it to brave the hordes on the public days - seen most of the stuff fly before, just the F15, F16 and F18 I wanted to see. And try and get a ride on the Dash8-400.

Are you guys gonna get some new Dash 8s down there? Seems SYD and BNE outfits are getting all the good 'uns..... I heard the Q400 is a super nice machine inside.

As for me, trying to keep up with the new 747s let alone attending an airshow!!!!

They want to flog the old buckets we have down here, looks like we will be getting a -200 down here for a bit of reliability and sending a shitbox to SYD.

Q400 is really nice inside, unfortunately the Tech Reps spent the whole showing trying to fix the damn thing as they have plenty of teething problems.

I dare say we will get some Q400s if Bombardier can get down to QF's favourite price - free, otherwise no show.
