Australian Muscle Car mag #10

I just picked up the latest copy at the newstand. I've just had a quick flick but it appears to be up to the high standard I have come to expect.

Dick Johnson's Green's Tuff (or Green Stuffed post Bathurst shootout) XE Falcon is on the cover and is the main feature article.

Though what I'm really posting about is the article on the ED XR Sprints! The feature car used looks very familiar. In fact I'm pretty sure I have even ridden shotgun to a few FF Raid events.

C'mon Dave (aka Tickford 2001) tell us how you & your car came to feature in AMC. As your still trying to sell it's a hell of a good advertisement.

Re: Australian Muscle Car mag #10

Speaking of the XR8 Sprint article, I think they've mis-identified the so-called XR8 Sprint at the 93 Bathurst 12 Hour. It looks to me more like an EB XR8 - headlights, grille, wheels, indicator, side badge all add up to EB. Also I think (not sure though) the 12 Hour was earlier in the year than Sept when the Sprint was released.

The owner of this car came to be in the mag. because of his position in our club. Lucky bugger. Just another advantage of being a member of the FPV & XR Owners Club of Victoria.

Re: Australian Muscle Car mag #10

Nice to see that they mentioned the T3 as a possible aussie muscle car that may have some value in the long term. They did give HSV vehicles a less than positive review in relation to resale, their long term value and desirability.

You have gotta love the 19" x 14" BBS wheels on the back of Dick Johnsons XE, long before any HSV fitted 19" Rims to their cars.
