Australia's Worst Driver

Looks like a must see TV event ...

I particularly like this quote ....

One day, Mason says, the contestants tried to park in a multi-storey carpark, seriously damaging five or six cars in the process. Another day contestants were asked to lose control on the "skid pan" at Eastern Creek Raceway.
"We had four major crashes and one of the contestants almost had a head-on into one of the parked cars," Luff says. "They lost it on the skid pan and just froze. Did absolutely nothing. No brakes. Nothing." Luff was sitting in the passenger seat at the time. "I'm screaming, 'Brake, brake', and they just went boom into this Pintara."

I wonder if our Governments will watch this show and realize that they are severely undertraining the public before giving them a licence, but then again, this is our Government we are talking about.....

I personally think that's an overstatement, you seem to rule out sleepiness, drinkdriving, elderly people and irresponsable drivers. I also think it's uncontrolled excessive speeding which leads to accidents.

Speed doesn't kill.. Impact does..

Speed has not killed a single person throughout history, there is no velocity limit where you simply just die.

Hence controlling speed will not directly affect the death toll. Welcome to 1984.. Belive the lies..

Maybe they should have also asked for those drivers that have not done a defensive driving course yet think they know everything and shown them how little they do actually know about good driving.

The 'nervous nannies' are a problem on the road and do cause frustration but they aren't as dangerous as the young guys (and statistics back me up here) that think they know it all until they are speeding in the wet and hit an unseen patch of water and find the nearest tree to park their mates into.
