Thumbs down Auto Trannies By The Hundreds !!

I met a guy today who works for Mitsubishi , service and parts. We discussed motoring matters and told me that the delivery truck stops off at their dealership on its way to a Holden dealership. The delivery truck always contains more than a dozen auto trannies for the Holden dealership.

This has been happening for some time. The inference made was that they were for warranty purposes. The motoring mags have long made it clear that they regard the Holden 4 speed auto boxes as second rate. Seems that they were pretty close to the mark!

The Holden box is cr@p. The Holden engine isn't much better. Belive me I know. Used to do warranty for a Canberra Holden dealer.

Good thing about the Commodore Auto is that you can build it up to be pretty strong, our Falcon Auto has no aftermarket at all.

And dont forget our Auto hasnt always been the most reliable piece of machinery either....
