Just got the new issue of Motor with all the AV engine lineup, standard six cops 190kw, base v8 gets 220kw, xr6 turbo is 240kw and xr8 gets 260, should see off a few gen3 pushrod dinosaurs at the lights

go out, buy a Barra, and start looking for 195kW HSVs!
Or even 200kW XR8s if youre game hehe

if the Xr8's got 260kw's the top of the line T series would have over 300? or wont there be a T series?

no info on t series although rumour is av gt with between 300 and 330. I think T series could fit in somewhere

i heard the AV GT will get a 5.8 340ish kw donk, well thats from the rumour mill. I would be great to have the '351 back in the Ford stable!

I think those power outputs are a little optimistic. Ford isnt gonna jump into everyones pants with power outputs that are just plain 'out there'. There is no need to have power levels that are way beyond everyone else. And it wont leave much power up margin for Ford later on down the track, when it's time for AVII etc etc.

For the standard 6 you are probably looking at around 165kw.
For the Turbo XR6 you are probably looking at the 200kw mark.
For the standard V8 probably around 220kw
For the T's - who knows, possibly around 250 - 275kw

Yeah I think the motor power figures are fairly inaccurate, they seem to be over by about 20-30kw IMO

You sure about that. Didn't Holden do that with the Ls1?. There wasn't any need to do what they did either but it didn't stop them.

230kW turbo XR6
220kW SOHC 5.4l (the same as motor) V8
250kW SOHC 5.4l XR8
