Has anyone heard any gossip?

(1) Will the wagon be coming out at the same time as the sedan?

(2) Will it be getting IRS?

(3) Will it be getting a manual tranny?

(4) Will it get a V8 option?

(5) Are we going to see a rehash of the EA Tailgate once again or will it be a new shell at long last?

(6) Will the top edge of the Windows line up at long last?

(7) Will Tickford produce XR Versions? (Please....)

I have no idea but here's my predictions;

(1) Will the wagon be coming out at the same time as the sedan?
Yes, as will the Ute!
(2) Will it be getting IRS?
No, will stick with the cart spring, as will the Ute!
(3) Will it be getting a manual tranny?
Yes!
(4) Will it get a V8 option?
Yes!
(5) Are we going to see a rehash of the EA Tailgate once again or will it be a new shell at long last?
Rehash - again! (Jesmol is right but looks similar.)
(6) Will the top edge of the Windows line up at long last?
No, the doors will still have to fit the wagon as well as the Fairlane - which would you consider requires the better asthetics?
(7) Will Tickford produce XR Versions? (Please....)

Ok, in regards about (5) i really don't give a monkey's but i'll say one thing i'm not a fan of the AU wagon rear lights with them angled down at the top and the wondow to match the contour. I personally like the E Series ones better, or better still there was a pic of an early development where the lights were like the E Series ones but with integrated reverse lights.

About (6) i have to say the AU heeeeaps better than the E Series wagon about the door lining up to the back end. At least they have a little plastic coloured panel that makes the door and wagon part flush, on the E Series it just had a massive drop and looks cheap. When we got the wagon dad thought it was a factory fault. :dead: :dead:

And the very last part (7), they better build XR wagons again i reckon they make a presense on the road and after spending $$$ on making a base wagon handle it would be a good thing if ford cameout with a sports wagon stock.

You bet. Madness if it doesn't

(2) Will it be getting IRS?
Option on Forte, Futura. Standard on XR, Fairmont and Ghia

(3) Will it be getting a manual tranny?
Yes!

(4) Will it get a V8 option?
Yes!

(5) Are we going to see a rehash of the EA Tailgate once again or will it be a new shell at long last?
All new rear to match the sedan theme.

(6) Will the top edge of the Windows line up at long last?
No but much better intergrated. Higher roof line for rear.

(7) Will Tickford produce XR Versions? (Please....)
XR and FTE versions would be good.

I hope they do a xr wagon, espcially a manual coz with a bodykit and lowered really low, dem things look fukin good!!!

Well, on the issue of number 2, enough things seen and heard to say it will be IRS. However, it will be different to the current IRS.

Number 5, having seen an AV on a public road bodywork for the wagon is 100% same as AU3 from front doors back.

Number 6, see answer to 5.

Number 7, just make sure it's an XR8 wagon available with a manual by the time AV2 comes out. If it has IRS etc I'm down for one.
