Red face AWD mitsubishi Verada

Had a good look of an AWD Mitsubishi Verada last week and have to say that it was a visual disapointment. Its looks like a Verada has the same height as a Verada and the only way to tell the difference are the three AWD badges down the sides and one on the rear and the new 10 spoke metalic sporty alloys.
Inside difference is the AWD badge on the gear selector larger hump down the middle and large bumps on the floor in front of both front seats.
Under the car is where the most changers are, larger gearbox, larger EVOish looking breaks, LSD diff at rear and three piece exhaust that just fits between and under the engine, the engine has more noticealbe power or was that the wheels? the Government label on the window reads 12L not bad for all wheel drive and more power..

hurry up ford I want all my wheel to spin

The AWD from Mitsu is a perfect example of a great product that has bugger all differentiation from the mainstream models.
No big wheels.. No bodykit.. Just plain Jane driving.

Look to the SSX Concept from Holden. Forget for a minute it's a hatchback & look at the overall presentation of the vehicle. Who do you think will sell more?

Which is where you've missed my point completely..

Mitsu are in the process of trying to lift their brand name out of the cardigan & into a set of jeans..

The image that the AWD Magna gives isn't the type of image that Mitsu are actually looking for. If they are trying to get their brand out of the grey cardi then they need to take a leaf out of Holden & Fords book on product image..

Can't see too many fleet buyers going for AWD ... what FM says is right, MisterBitchy has lost the plot with what is a great product. Like Ford, they need to steal some marketing ideas from Hol ... Hold ... sorry just can't bring myself to say that word.

No i dont think ive missed the plot.

As i said is what I think, cause I am a individual who has a mind of his own, God Forbid LMAO.

Mitsubishi get a lot of there sales to fleet and goverment. So i dont think they care about there image as far as that goes. Im sure they will release a sports version which would make it more appealing to the jeans wearing buyer!. So the mundane mainstream for the fleet, and the sporty jazzy denim for the more trendy yuppy wannabes LOL!!!!

I reckon the AWD Magna and Verada range will attrack many country buyers. I work in the bush occasionally and when it rain a 2 wheel drive sedan isnt worth 5 cents.

You may say "why dont they just get a 4wd", but most people dont like driving big trucks, and many people find sedans much more comfortable and easy to drive.
