B-29/P-51 Actual/Live WWII Footage

This is long but remarkable footage.

If you are a history buff and/or a fan of air warfare this 36 minute video is
well worth the time. If we had used the Gen. Curt Lemay bombing theory on Hanoi
and Haiphong and a few other Viet Cong strongholds like many of us recommended
during 1966 through 1972 the story in Viet Nam might have been much different.

B-29/P-51 Actual/Live WWII Footage

This is 36 minutes long. This is spectacular live footage of the 3,000 mile
round trip air assault upon the Japanese mainland, with 3 bomber wings and a
host of P-51's.

This is the real way to end a war. Don't even think about "collateral damage"
(civilians)! They are the enemy, too!

No matter what war footage you have ever seen before, this is the real deal and
will hold your undivided attention. The P-51 & B29 footage is remarkable.

The strafing runs by the P-51 pilots were incredible.

There were no Occupy Wall Street Wussy's here!... just brave patriots, fighting
to win!

B-29/P-51 Actual WWII Footage A great compilation of combat footage from WWII.
It is 36 minutes long, The beginning is the planning and preparation for the
bombing raids on Tokyo. At about 15-16 minutes they are running into flak as
they prepare to hit the targets. Some great P-51 combat footage and then very
good footage of the bombers in action. Recovery back at the take-off bases is
excellent footage also. This was a time when men definitely were MEN!! It is
obvious when you see our stockpiles on the islands that our industrial
production sealed the fate of our enemies. We don't send a lot of our officers
to ICAF, but that course might be as valuable as AWC to the successful
prosecution of a war effort. Good way to spend some quality time .A 36 minute
gem for those who at this time of year would like to trace the dots from Pearl
Harbor in 1941 back to Japan in 1945 -- the Last Bomb. This is amazing footage.
Notice the actual photos of the spent shell casings streaming out of the bottom
of the P51s.

Re: B-29/P-51 Actual/Live WWII Footage

Thanks Bert. That was my dad's plane, the B-29. Maybe I'll send this link to him and hope his old computer is up to the task.
He has one of those "Norden" bombsights in his closet actually. -Brian

Re: B-29/P-51 Actual/Live WWII Footage

Thanks from me and mine as well, Bert. My Grandfather was one of my heros chasing the Nazis from S. Africa all the way to Berlin. I grew up listening to his many stories and could go on for hours about him and his service. Unfortunately, he was called to "Another Assignment" a couple of years ago and we do not get to see him now. 90 years and he is STILL trying to protect us from evil.
