given that the basic shape is the same do we reckon that the front would be a simple bolt-on? i mean it might be our cheapest way at getting into a BA lol AU utes ive seen for 18 g and 98 Fairmont V8 Wagons i have seen for 17 g i reckon a front change would cost, say, 1200 bucks?? food for thought hey?
Errrrr i think the guards will be different, and even the guard blinkers are mounted differently.
I say keep it AU, don't make it a hybrid. AU is AU and proud of it i reckon.

I dunno about a BA front on an AU, but I've seen an AU ute with a Fairmont front on it. It looked a hell of a lot better than a base model ute, and I wish that Ford would've changed the ute's front to AU2 when the sedan was released (or not long after).
You never know, we might start seeing a few mutant AU/BA's around after the release (maybe 6 moths or so).

nah you got me wrong i think the sedan would look shite but since the wagon and ute will be mainly unchanged then it would be kinda cool i hate the AU front and for that reason i wouldnt buy one but i love the BA nose so yeah i reckon someone will end up doing it
Originally posted by Donut King I don't think it would be easy to do if it fits at all, isn't the BA wider than the AU?
I think it is too, which means that you couldn't do it. If you were going to change the front of an AU, I'd go for the Fairmont front as V8RUMBLE mentioned.
Either that or just buy the BA when it is released.

I think that's possibly the most sensible and logical sentence this thread will contain! Thanks Jamie! :s6:
