I am just getting back into Fords after periods of seperation. Believe it or not I bought a brand new Phase 2 (vermillon fire as I think back over 30 years) but as a youngster couldn't eventually afford the petrol in the 36 gallon tank even when fuel was cheap way back then. But then again, I went flat out or was parked :)
I next awoke some years later and had an XC GXL 351 fully worked from from to back. Then I lost interest again. Having recently acquired an absolutely pristine ( and I mean faultless) EB 6 CPI auto and added mags, good rubber, top end audio, brakes etc, my mind wandered to spending more money on this thing or going to a new BA V8 or something. So the question, buy a new one and lose bulk money once I drive out the door or sink a lot of money into what I have?

In my opinion, If the EB is faultless and you are happy wait until series II BA, if there is not much difference between the two then haggle hard on a last of the series I and you should lessen the instant driveway drive-a-way depreciation hit.
