Just wondering from you BA owners how much road noise you are getting compared with AU, any difference? I havent read much about this, only one journalist saying road noise is a touch loud.

Road noise from tyres and engine are nothing. Very quiet except for the windnoise you get from the front doors.

I drove a clients Futura and was amazed of how quiet it actually was compared to any car that I have been in before.

Yes CDAA, they are very very quiet compared to the AU, and very smooth. But i find if it is windy you can hear the wind hitting the car.

XR6MAN i suppose thats the trade off, as the car gets quieter, wind becomes more noticable.
Or is it annoyingly excessive wind noise?

Nah i reckon its just because teh car is so quiet. Im very impressed with the smoothness aswell.

I thought the BA Fairmont Ghia that i drove was one of the quietest things I have ever been in, bar the Toyota Camry.

Just to note, Benz and BMW have had problems with the Maybach and new 7, now the cars are so quiet, you start to hear noises you never noticed before! Guess BA is the same when compared with AU.

There is an easy fix, however...

...a '66 Fairlane GT with 427 and a war on terror.
