BA Service Costs

I know the BA has the 15,000km interval and a 3000km "tyre kick" service however I need to know the standard cost of the 15,000km service and the 3000km if any.

Info required urgently.

Thanks

ps car is NA Xr6 if that makes any difference.

BOF,

If you know anyone who owns an AUIII they would be able to tell you how much a typical 15k and 30k service will cost from Ford as they deleted the free scheduled servicing that was on AUII's.

Perhaps someone here with an AUIII that service there cars at a Ford dealer can let us know how much it costs. Without any warrenty issues a service at 15k is just an oil/filter change and inspection, perhaps a tyre rotation and balancing which one can do at a tyre shop anyways.

I've just had my Pursuit 250 ute 15,000 service done and I was charged $125-00 but I supplied the 6 1/2 litres of Mobil 0-40. At the same time they did a cooling system upgrade under warranty.

yeah you could expect to pay anything from 125 to 150

First service 3000 kms is FREE, they dont do anything except check the cars wheels nuts and give it a wash(nah i dont know what they do, just some minor checks).

I hate to sound like a broken record but 15,000 km service intervals are a crock of shit.

For the type of driving most people in this country do, 10,000 km is already stretching the friendship when it comes to oil durability.
From my point of view I'd rather wear the extra expense and do them every 10,000 - you just do the normal 15k service at 10k and treat the interim ones as oil and filter only (i.e: 20k, 50k, 80k etc.).

I've still got the T-Series on 5k services.

Doesn't benefit me but the future owners should get some reward for the extra effort.

Cheers

Russ,
Your dead right about the oil change intervals for a private car, on mine i plan to change my oil every 7.5k for that added security and protection when driving hardish.
But we have to remember here that BOF's car is a company car and he will be changing at 6-8months intervals so theres really no need to worry about oil and just go by the service book.

The BA's all come from the factory with iridium plugs. Not sure yet if they're replaced the same but if so they don't need replacing for a while. When they do they'll be $20 - $35 each, should last about 100 thousand from what I HEAR but don't quote me on that one.

Hey scoob, that's great info, but what does it have to do with the cost of the 15,000km serivce?

In canberra, service is between $130 - 160. I assume that all Ford dealers would charge the same.

Thought I was being useful. LOL. Didn't know plugs aren't usually touched that early.
