I'd go for an LPG (Futura?) wagon and fit an aftermarket turbo kit or supercharger kit for around $8,000. It'll have plenty mumbo and be economical to boot.
Old topic. If you want a wagon from Ford it comes with plain vanilla I6 only. No excitement allowed!

Isn't the wagon based on the ute (or the other way round)? It comes with any engine combo.
Nope, since the AU's cab-chassis ute the wagon has become a bit of an orphan. It shares the rear leaf spring arrangement of the ute but it's wheelbase is that of the LWB sedans (Fairlanes). The Ute wheelbase is longer again and it has it's own unique rear subframe.
That doesn't mean Ford couldn't build it with the V8 or T6 if they choose to they just don't.
If you can hold out I reckon the Raptor(E265) vehicle will provide you with what you are after.
Brendan:
If I 'HAD' to buy a wagon you could count on it. Ford are no hopers in the wagon game these days.

Add an Herrod exhaust to the BA wagon I6 to get over 200kW, add 18", lowered, black duco, tint.......looks and probably goes better than an AU V8 wagon IMO.
As for the Commodore Option, Its painfull to admit it, but a Gen 3, 6 speed VT11 exec sounds like alot of fun....ewwuu, I feel dirty just saying it, lol.
