Apples are not that different to Oranges. Sure apples have more potassium, sodium, vitamin A, and vitamin G, while oranges have more Vitamin B and C, but they are both still fruit!
Just like this comparison, the cars have different insides and out, btoh have thier good and bad, but unlike an unfair comparison, this is one which is to demonstrate just how much something has improved.
If I am to beleive Motor and other "credible" sources, there will be a 230kw, 450nm Turbo IL6 powered XR6 released at around Christmas time. This means, combined with it's superior IRS and optional Koni shockers, it would be lighter and more powerful with more torque than our current V8 powered XR8.
The XR8 is capable of low 6 acclerations with mid to high 14 quarters. The new XR6 should be capable of bettering these times. So there must be a significant improvement in the New Xr8 to be a ble to be ahead of the 6. I'm not sure how much more the XR8 will weigh to the XR6 T, but I have conficence in Ford that they will not let the cheaper Turbo XR6 out-do the 8.

Word on the street is that the new XR8 will have similiar performance to the T3.

Clicky clicky here for previous ride! I still miss her!
No longer must the six be hobbled to save embarrassing the bent eights.
Why do Ford? (Australians?) have this attitude?
I don't see BMW holding back the M3.

I agree mate. I love 8's but Id probably nearly take a hot Turbo IN-LINE-6 over a V8.
I really wish Ford could make a limited edition 270+kw Turbo 6!

I would be supprised if it didnt. TS50 weighs 1730kg, TE50 weighs 1715kg, The XR8 with lighter V8 (?), lighter rear suspension, with the same torque (around 500nm estimate) and power around 250kw should be even if not better cirrent T3.
Just can,t wait for T4! Just hope theres a hottet up Turbo 6 amoung the bunch. :CU: :s3

As we are talking about XR6 Vs XR8, my old man will be 1 of the first in perth to get a new BA :)))) and he was told that you can only get the XR6 Turbo for now and the XR8 will be avalible near january?? Is this true?
