Now that the BA XR8 auto is now out has anybody driven one yet? I just want to know if there is anything different about it.

i think it needs to be mentioned that the auto changes gears 'automatically' (hence the name), where the manual you have to do it manually....

or was it the other way round?....

LOL - but not if you have the auto in SSS mode. It holds gear just like a manual (except under certain, low speed conditions).

Yeh, sorry. Didn't mean to get too technical, but auto now has a different meaning. Still saps more power than a manual box though.

You forgot to mention the shift stick lokks different and it has pretty lights on it at night too.

I wonder what the driving is like compared to the manual (with trction controll OFF of course !

PS any one know what the sales figures are for XR8 and GT so far (what about all XRs compare to S SS & Clubsport.
