Just wondering if anyone knows why the XR8 Boss will not be released until next year (2003)???

I have heard that it is because of the unavailability of engines. Is this correct? Or is there something else?

So I'm curious if anyone can shed some light on this issue for me.

IMO it's most likely part of the sales strategy as much as anything else.

Ford Aus are drip feeding us so we stay on the edge of our seats for longer and so the new falcon gets more press.

Not a bad strategy if you ask me, and it gives them some extra R+D time as a bonus.

I wouldn't have thought it would be a part of the sales strategy. If I were in the market for a brand new car, I wouldn't be waiting at least 4ish Months to evaluate a new car - i think it would loose Ford sales. :bwhaaaaaa

Yes and im allocating funds for a GTHO I must be patient very patient. I think im falling in love with the bank manager-lol. Do I have to order one now to avoid dealer hassles? Two cabs in the garage will have to make room for the new HO soon, well someday- lol
