I think 530Nm is a bit high. It starts with a 5 though...... Let's just say SS with a puny 235 is a loser in the battle now - oh how the tide has turned. LS1 boat anchor engine - in fact it's not even useful for that being alloy oil smoking device.
I just can't wait to see power figures for GT!

The same engine that has continuously demoslished ford, caused this massive overhaul, and is the only reason your going to get a GT worth having. I think the ls1 is a best thing that ever happened to ford.
But its fine enjoy your stay on top, it wont last too long!
Aahh the rub factor. Mate, the CV8 that bears my name on the rego papers is reason enough to know it's an okay engine. We ARE talking comparatively now! XR8 260 vs SS 235. Massive switch you must agree.
Now if Julian Edgar idiot was on here he'd start talking about how pushrods are old tech and blah blah....

I agree Ford has needed to be pushed otherwise we would probly still be hard pressed to have more than 200kw.
But what i just cant agree on is that our run at the top wont last too long. Unlike before {and we still matched you} Ford have the hardware to do anything Holden/HSV do now and more for quite a few years to come. They wont give up. Just think SS Gen 4 must get 25kw extra just to level and then its got to get its power through that IRS. Resales of Clubsports and R8 255s will dive now IMO and once our high performance models are released 300s wont be far behind. XR6 T with 18psi anyone?
