All Councils and Shires in Australia that have potential bush fire areas should embark on controlled backburning again instead of concentrating on pointless projects.

Just thought that this section needed a thread.

No improvements in Sydney. It annoys me that most of the fires are caused by arsonists.

Mate, you are of course right, but I want to clarify something... the controlled "backburning" is what is done when it is too late and fires are burning, what should be done is Hazard reduction burning , which should be done in the cooler months to reduce the amount of fuel on the forest floor before it can be ignited and cause huge inferno's in the hot dry summer months.
