Anyone heard any news on the Barra Fairlane ?
Polites has said " release date 2003 "
But any info leaking out ?
Engine, specs etc.

and since they will be selling the AU fairlane untill then, how are they going to sell a prestige car with the old style engines with less power than the base model?

Are they going to be putting the new engines in the Au fairlanes after september untill the all new barra fairlane?

I spose we will know more once the sedans are released but i think they will be unveiled with the high performance models {the ones above XRs} at the Melb Motor show in March. It would be safe to say that they will feuture the best riding version of the new IRS aswell as most of whats been unveiled so far,Parking sensors,drive by wire,Sat nav,new interior etc and you could throw side airbags in there as standard aswell id reckon. Ford held this market for years and i think they want it back badly. Whats unclear is how far they will go or can go with styling. I think there will be a decent amount of change though.

They wouldnt be adding the new engines because it would be worth it.

Maybe the reason there wasnt a series three Fairlane launched before, was too leave room for one now, with a few changes to bring it inline with the rest of the range. The Fairlane has lost alot of publicity lately. I think for the next Fairlane( probably not called BA) it wil be more circular and Buick Bengal meets NL at the front with sharper rear styling.

Hopefully the new LTD will look like the new Lincoln Town Car but longer, wider, more powerful and better handling
