Hi all.

New to the forums.

Just a quick question. I'm looking to buy a new falcon - probably fairmont and want to hire one for a weekend to make sure I'm happy with the car.

I'm trying to find a rental car place in Melbourne that has them available for hire - I tried Hertz in Melb CBD/Airpoint and they said they have them for hire but are very short on supply and could not say when they could get me one.

Does anyone know, or has anyone rented one in Melbourne? If so, which company and branch?

Welcome to the forums. I don't know cause I live in the Deep North, but it sounds like a good idea to rent one for a week-end before forking out the bucks.

If you are seriously about to buy one, any self respecting dealer should provide you with a loaner, at least overnight. If they wont...I would go somewhere that will.

yeah all the big dealers will provide you with what you want. No is the time because they are using nearly every model as demos so they should have what you want. Go to one of the bigger dealers though, smaller ones dont like loaning.
