I am looking at an XR6 (N/A) on the showroom floor.

Stillwell Ford in SA will have 6 BAs by the end of the day - but it looks like around 30 people milling all over the one we have here now!!

One of the salesmen took a customer for a drive and he was blown away (especially by the interior and the smooth nature of the whole package)

The level has been raised.

Well done FORD.

Its CONGO GREEN.

Actually looks quite nice in that colour ... surprisingly!

I read an article in some newspaper (forgot what it was) and it mentioned all the Falcon's coming off the line being pre-sold until December. They were pretty confident that Jan-March stock would be sold too by the end of December, they are also going to boost production from 310 to 400 a day if all goes to plan.

Well .. a bit of an update.

Several orders in the first few hours - from people who have just seen the car.

(ie Not pre-orders)

I would expect most of the people who have lobbed in our dealership today to be Ford buyers who were just waiting to see the BA in the flesh.... but still that has to be a positive sign.

The salesmen are also up-beat. It is a change for them to have a product that they can be VERY proud of.

Everyone who has test driven a car has been gob-smacked at how nice they are on the road.

Is that the sun I see pocking through the grey storm clouds ......

I gave a Barra Ghia and XT a good look-over for the first time at a different dealership today - very impressive. Less impressive was me leaving my camera at home, so I'll get some pics tomorrow instead.

Speaking of. Torque Ford in Redcliffe, Qld has just taken delivery of a Gold BA XT, Very Nice. even sat in it. i must say. its unlike any other falcon, and apart from the ford badge on the steering wheel. you would think its an expensive German car.

Its much better than the VY i sat it. ewww dog shit compared to Barra.

THe motor just begs for a fangin.
