been a crappy couple of days here
laminge gets his badges nicked (but has the pleasure of hitting the little shits), russelw gets his car knocked by some toffe nosed saab driving tart (and...fyi, saab convertibles arent that great to drive, quite slow in fact) and then bdave351 finds a couple of blokes having a go at his car with a hammer (and you havent named this well known company...name and shame mate...and who are you on AWIMB???)
well, after waiting 10 weeks for the panel shop to fit my car in, after beginning the work of stripping the beastie last week, and knowing that monday was the day the RS would be transformed, i get a call from the panel shop this afternoon spinning some bullshit about the main panel beater not wanting to work on the car and threatening to quit if he sees another old car. a couple of calls later and their story has changed to them not actually wanting to work on old cars any more. they got some other painter to call me. trouble is, i know nothing about them. i waited for 3 months cos these guys were supposed to be good.
so much for taking pride in your work. i understand the desire to turn over cars really quickly by simply replacing one panel with another, butyou dont promise to take on a job, leave someone hanging for three months and the friday before the car is due to be taken in, then call and cancel. you shopuld have had the decency to at least take on one last job, as you promised to the customer.
so a big thank you to A&B smash repairs of bayswater for f*#king me about. you have the moral fibre of weasel.
