Ben Award for April 2002

April is coming to a close - so we should have a Ben award discussion to cap the month off!!!

How about putting each month's "Ben" on the website Jack???

I'm putting my vote forward for.... drumroll... PHIL82!!!!

=-= Backing quotes =-=

"My next mod for my EA is a stronger custom tailshaft, a very good mod."

"Nice project you've got there mate... what kind of custom tailshaft have you got set up in Johnny's EA? Please don't tell me it's using stock, it rattles and vibrates over 180 km/ph."

"I don't want to waste money converting my 3.9L with MPFI where I can just donk in a clean 4.0L already equipped with MPFI in my EAII (My EAII has a 4spd auto which will match comfortably with a 4.0L donk)"

"So is the tyre that is standard for the EA the 205/65/15? I'm on a budget and I have all round 225/65/15's on my car on 7" mags and all are bald and only can afford $90 for one tyre at this stage not some whooping $180 for some 235mm sized tyre."

"I am saving up around $800 to have my suspension done at Pedders, my suspension is screwed completely... it squeaks and shudders... needs new gas absorbers, bolts, bumpstops and all... rusted out."

Okay the car's suspension is shot... often takes is to 180km/h... can't afford decent rubber so is getting cheap shit thats heaps narrow... yet wants to get a custom made tailshaft as next mod... about the UBER EA using stock radiator and tailshaft (it may well do but I don't think so)...

Maybe he doesn't have Ben's flair but still there's a bit of inconsistency in those posts...

Maybe PHIL82 doesn't deserve to win, but I reckon he's a contender..

No offence though Phil, this is a time honoured tradition handed down to EA drivers from XF from XE from XD right back to the first Falcon built.. To win the Ben award is an honour!!!

Dan...

I think I might leave the idea of making it a regular part of the page. Firstly it might confuse people, and secondly I already have countless sections requiring constant updating. Just yesterday I was celebrating because I finally got up to date with everything.

But carry on, by all means...

Re: loose it

Yeah it was intended as a joke.

I'd be interested to know what ben thinks of that idea...

Re: Phil for sure

Well, the ben forum is no more in the interests of consolidating and simplifying out forum system.

There has been a wave of old ben-related posts now in the General forum. I hope ben is happy with this decision.

Enjoy!
