Often reffered to as "The Devils Triangle", what's everyones take on it? Is it fact or Fiction? Is there a logical explanation proving that this is a natural phenomenon, not a supernatural one? When was the last plane/vessel reported missing from the area?

I think due to its location there is a lot of strong winds coming from every direction. Meaning rough seas. This could account for alot of yachts and stuff that have "dissapeared"
Anyway its all fiction to me. Makes great movies!!

A far as I know the dissapearances on the Triangle are largely due to huge magnetic activity in the 'Sargasso Sea' in the Atlantic not to mention freak hurricane storms in the area as well. The infamous Flight 19 of Grumman Avengers dissapeared somewhere arournd this area .They ran out of gas due to the compasses going crazy or flight leader became disorientated and all the flight gradually ran out of fuel due to them relying on their compasses I think. The rescue sea plane sent after them also dissapeared.
The other thing is no planes or ships have dissapeared since the late 70's largely due to modern navigation technniques and generally aircraft flying at much higher altitudes than they used to over the area. As for ships disspearing still in that area I think it has allot to do more with drug lords taking over the boats.

Im not sure if its the same thing, but a bunch of A/C got lost and crashed. I saw a doco on them, the investigators looked at the maps/flight plans etc, and worked out how the flight leader became disorientated and from that the actually found the wreckages in shallow water knowhere near the Bermuda Triangle.
I've seen other doco's debunking the myth with plausible explanations of the various dissaparences, the biggest one is that the triangle has ships and aircraft passing through it all the time!!
The US Navy as well as many Civilian ships and aircraft travel through the Triangle every day without misshap. Though there are a lot of drug smuggling boats and planes that tend to go missing around that area. But there are other reasons for that!
The Fonz's post is right on the money.
