Not sure how many other GT owners have experienced this, but since the purchase of the beast i've been hounded continually by the Missus as to how crap her car really is compared to mine.
My standard response is always "You wanted that cute little KA remember?". Well that strategy worked for a while, except it was only a matter of time before she cottoned on to a new tactic of getting up just a little bit earlier in the mornings with the full intent to steal the GTP.
Leaving me with the keys to the KA. NOT COOL!!!
Eventually she got bored of that tactic and decided to instead make me suffer the gruelling punishment of SITS (Slowly Inflating Testicle Syndrome).
It took me about 6 weeks to work out (because i'm a guy) why she was doing (or not doing) this to me before I finally clicked. Bing!!! I arranged a test drive of a NA XR6 last Friday and surprise pickup.
After evaluating the cost, I just wasn't sure if we could justify it. I convinced her to take out the focus for a run as well.
She hated the Focus!!! After about a day of deliberation, there was no avoiding taking the XR6 Turbo.
Yes my friends, i'm proud to say, we now have the best of both worlds. A XR6 Turbo as well as a GT-P. I guess this means we will no longer be subject to the stereo-types associated with owning one or the other, because now we have both.
Expect delivery by Wednesday next week.
I think it's time to start researching modchips.
