Tongue Best Ford Hubcap Design

Ok i got this idea from Ap's thread in regards to Alloy Wheels. I thought i'd start a discussion on the best hub caps Ford made.

I honestly reckon the Series 1 EF Futura hub caps are the best and followed closely by the EL Gli ones "multi spoke" look. Seems the ones on the AU models look abit conservative "yeah i know it's the intended purpose" but still.

Whats everyone else reckon.

For modern ones I'd say the AUII Fortes or EL GLi

I'll go for an older car too, the P5 LTD, probably the most expensive caps ever put on a Ford.

i really like the BA XT wheel covers. (i consider wheel covers to be the true term for the item, a hubcap is what was put onto older cars to cover only the centre 'hub' of the wheel)

the XT covers look great with the fake rivets on the centre of the cover. they are the closest thing to a real alloy i have seen.

I reckon ford should have kept the Steel wheel idea goin, like the police cars have got, atleast they were easy to keep clean and it didnt matter if you hit a gutter.

Long live the steel wheels, !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah have to agree with you faclonS the XTs look quite good, Dad had to look twice lol. I thought the AU series1 were the worse ford had done in a long time - very cheap looking.
