i have been away for a few days & have come back to find the Mods ( forum directors ) have all kindly departed

i knew Jeff had left a few weeks ago but now i find that Minge has gone & by the looks of it Russell has left aswell as Chucky

i have never meet Chucky but as for Russell, Minge & Jeff they are a great bunch of guys & always went out of there way to help us with any idea that we had & always put together great day's & nights out for us all

i know it must have consumed a conciderable amount of there time just to keep up with us all on here let alone arange adventures for us lot

i would like to say a big "THANK YOU" to Russell, Gary & Jeff for your support over the time i have spent on here with you

i would also like to make the sugestion to the new Mods, whoever you are that now might be the best time to start doing up your shoe laces as you have VERY LARGE BOOT'S TO TRY & FILL.........good luck

You're right, they are a good bunch of blokes, including chucky (FM) whom you havent met, as well us the interstate mods too. They've done a good job here and in person are really great guys. I'm sure they're moving on to bigger & better things

If i could put some constructive criticism here I'de like to add that it would be nice to have some sort of explanation as to why certain threads/posts were and are being deleted, some have been and there has been no reason given..... i'm not whinging for the sake of whinging but it isnt too much to ask. I'm also not having a go at anyone in particular...but of late the forum experience hasnt been as great, usually it's a top notch helpful site covering all aspects of motoring and our beloved Fords.

I hope this one doesnt get deleted/moved/altered/fiddled with, I've tried to be as constructive as possible without the narkiness....

if your posts get deleted you will get a PM telling you that its gone & a reason why its gone........... atleast thats how it was in the past has this changed as well

nah...nothing. Must of changed not that I've made a post in the past to get deleted but there seems to be some inconsistancy of late regarding some posts of similar nature, some get canned some dont.... As I said before it would be great to know whats going on

Also i've noticed alot of people (including myself) not using the forums as much anymore, in the past the forums has been terrific it's been a good social thing as well as a great source of information about various things. Lately unfortunately it hasnt been the same. I've been logging on more so to try make sense of it all rather than look up car stuff

Apologies Rod, as not addressed to me.

I have had several posts deleted and no explanation was ever delivered. Infact yesterday an entire thread was not closed or moved, just made to disappear. Like it never happened. Except it did happen and plenty read it. Sure some of the posts were not glowing in their praise for some, but a fair proportion were.

I guess with no explanation, there remains the questions of why. Who is deleting entire threads? Antother thread in the Asylum "what ever happened free speech" GTP 320 named Lunatic as the person responsible for some deletions. He was slapped around for this. How could he know as his entire thread vanished?

Dunno about this overseas travel anymore, might have to stay at home and spend my time and money in Australia from now on.

I think it's fine if a post get edited or deleated for a good reason, [eg] breach of T&C of forums, or personal attacks, but NOT for and opinion, or something that a modarator dosen't agree with. There are reasons & opinions & they are different....

It's very unsettling at the moment, we as consumer's on this site are being left in the dark, I to feel somewhat up in arm's about it all, now I don't know the story's nor the reason's behind it all, but I do feel and explantion toward's the forum user's is in order, we are all good reasnoable people here that enjoy each other's company that's why so many off us spend so much time on here, and here here to the opening post by Rod, I wish all the ex-mod's all the best and hopefully they can still be a part of FF and remain in contact, it just won't be the same without them all.

totally agree there steve, maybe there are some big heads around that need some deflating somewhat for eveyones benefit

There needs to be better communication between some of the mods and the users, and the only way to get it across is constructive conversations like this one
