haveing a discussion on the way home from shopin with me mum :) we was talkin about how many ea/eb falcons we had seen today and were wondering what was the biggest selling falcon model to date?
Unfortunatly, it was the uninspiring XF that was the most popular with 278101 being produced, followed by the EA with 223612 and the XB with 220765

The legend XD clocked up 197,000 odd from memory. If you were to consider that the XD and XE built a good solid reputation for Ford, then it's no wonder the 'uninspiring' XF holds the record.
I agree that the XD - XF cars have thier faults, but if it wasn't for their no-nonsense approach to motoring, then Ford would have disappeared LONG ago.

The XD sold 206974 all told, not too bad really. Yes, the XD and XE built a solid reputation for the XF to build on, it was just unfortunate that the XF was the Worlds Best Taxi (tm) at the time with no performance options or V8.

HOW dare you call the XF uninspiring!! I love my XF and so many other love XFs too. The best selling Falcon ever and arguably the toughest built. They go forever like Volvos, parts are cheap as, they're hella light (1330kg odd) and they look good too.

I am sure you like you XF, and I think they are quite a nice looking car. By uninspiring, I mean that they were a very boring car from the factory. No high performance (let alone vaguely sporting) versions were made available from the Factory. At least the XD and XE had the option of a two V8s and European Sports Pack. If you think a 120 kW EFI 4.1 is inspiring, then maybe you should get out more.
